Greetings in this beautiful late spring season!
Since returning to PA from AZ in early April, life has been a whirlwind for me, both personally and professionally! In addition to the normal transition routine we snowbirds experience (packing, shipping, unpacking and all of the house chores and preparations) it seems life has taken on a warp speed! With the lifting of many covid restrictions (thank goodness), family and personal obligations have increased for many of us, leaving us gasping for air as we try to adapt to our new normal. Not sure about you, but my new normal feels like anything but normal!
On the art front, I have lots of news to share…
Upon returning to work in my studio back home, I realized it was time to say goodbye to the periwinkle blue wall that I loved. For many years, it served as the perfect backdrop for displaying my greeting card designs, but more recently it has been challenging my color sense when working on new abstract paintings. So “buh-bye” periwinkle and hello Navajo white! The white also makes photo shoots so much easier.

Also, I am delighted to share some exciting news! A curated collection of my work is now being represented by ARTEZONA Gallery, a boutique online gallery with a roster of wonderful artists. I am in very good company! ARTEZONA feels like a great fit for me.
If interested, have a listen to my ARTEZONA Artist in Focus interview. It’s a deep dive into my background and insights into my painting practice. Thanks to founder Liz Hernandez and Malik for this opportunity to share the story of my creative journey.
(Please excuse the technical difficulties towards the end of the interview when we had connection problems. But I promise if you stay patient, we DO return to wrap up the interview with a few more questions.)
Sneak Peek…
I am thrilled to have my big blue painting “On the Other Side of Midnight” (acrylic on canvas, 48” x 48” ) selected for the Juried Summer Show at Abington Art Center! There is sure to be some interesting artwork on display, so try to stop by if you are in the area.
